What about the way the bottom rad helps to cool the engine oil or at least keep it at a more constant temp. The lower rad would be the area that has the cooler coolant as by time it hits the lower rad it has been cooled through the top rad as it worked its way down...
So would this not make a big difference to oil temp if it were not there and you do not use the oil cooler that is between the filter and engine block?
Just curious...
