Hello. I have been on a few of the H3 forums for a couple years. I started with a 2007 Adventure which I traded in when the transmission failed at 45k miles. I now have a 2010 Alpha that I've been able to make some modifications to. It seems that most of the more-knowledgable H3 folks have moved over to this forum. I've participated in a run lead by cbphoto in Bishop, CA.
I followed up on BeBe's fine work with Ron Davis and purchased a direct replacement aluminum radiator. I'm getting ready to do the swap in the next couple of weeks. I thought I would ask for advice from the members here.
Cooling system - full drain and fill? Backflush? I am still looking for the cooling system capacity. I believe I'm to use 1 1/4 gals of Dex Cool for a 50/50 mix with distilled water. Still doing my research.
Trans - just top it off with DEXRON VI or full fluid/filter replacement... I'm at 44k miles on the odometer? Does anybody have experience with any of the alternative transmission fluids?
I'm off to continue my research and am hoping to get some feedback from the fine folks here.
