Just read thru the 24 threads of the archieves. And I was wondering if there has been any other quick fixes better than Barrs, Alumi liquid seal or blk pepper ?

Big Boy,,, i have been using the black pepper for many many years now. it can be a temporary or a permanent fix, will not clog up areas other than the leak as it solidifies only in the leak. i have never had ANY issues with this fix, however SNOPES cannot confirm this,, see below:

When i had shallower pockets and tried to have a "race car / work car" i repaired a radiator and left the pepper in it for many years. When i had my BB i got a leak in La Crosse i used the black pepper and it worked fine. when i got home and had time i pulled the radiator and got it repaired correctly.
2 ounces or slightly less fine ground pepper will fix most any reasonably small leak.

i have never been a fan of Barrs or Alumi liquid seal as if you ever look at it when you pour it in, globs of undetermined materials, however many people swear by it with no adverse effects, it's just not for me.
