Just took a look at my lower rad hose clip and it might not be as bad as some other forum members cars, but it will need changing. I also found some corrosion in the corner by the front lower radiator mount, it looked like a tiny old leak so for some stupid reason I sprayed it with WD40 well before engaging my brain, because that area gets warm and it will cause a temporary smell inside the car. Now I will have to wash the area with detergent (Fairy Liquid is best) and paint the corner with some black enamel.
The 2 problems I found today with the hose clip and radiator corner corrosion were both classic cases of, "Out of sight, out of mind", because the lower clip is hard to inspect and the corrosion looked like salt effect from the road.
Can some kind person comment on that e bay link for a new lower hose from caiw123, as it seemed rather too cheap to be real.
