Ok so when I got my 53 the front end was just kinda set on it. It came with a coffee can full of bolts, screws, washers, etc... I'm having a rough time getting any of them to fit into the radiator to mount it up solid to the support. Does anyone know off the top of their head what size the bolt is? Is it 3/8 fine or course? Could it possibly be 5/16? I know this is a long shot but just trying to eliminate some frustration.

You might go to the parts manual and look at the exploded views and the parts description for the attaching bolts.http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/

Ok so I managed to finally get a couple bolts found that fir it. And yes they are 5/17 coarse thread.I am going to buy the bolt kits from National Chevy here before long but I'm anxious to get it driving and on the road. Their prices are really reasonable on them. Grille assembly kit is $18, grille to car kit is $11 and front clip assembly kit is $20
