Car Information:
Ford Ranger
Year: 2000
Engine Size: 3.0
Trans: Automatic

Issue / Question:
My car is having some overheating. I changed the radiator fluid, but it’s still overheating. When I turn the heat on for about 30 seconds, it drops back to normal and it seems fine. I mainly do stop and go driving. It is a thermostat or water pump going bad?

Answer:
I suggest a flow test to see if there’s restriction in the radiator and a fan clutch operation test.
