Auto VS Manual Radiator

Does anyone know the spec difference between the auto and manual radiators for jeep TJs (mines a 2004)?
Heard the auto is larger than the manual. I'd like to put the auto rad into my manual jeep for some extra cooling.
Any advise?

I believe the only difference is the auto has a petcock to run a cooling line to the transmission. I believe the specs are the same and that some aftermarket rads have that petcock blocked off for the manuals

Yep. Transmission cooler is the difference.

I know a few people with manual transmission that bought a radiator for an automatic. They use the extra ports for running a shower.

Was looking at aftermarket aluminum radiators. Heard the 2 rows have a better cooling ability than the 3 rows due to larger surface area for cooling.
Was checking eBay and DNA motoring have an aluminum that I'm interested in.
Anyone switch to an aftermarket radiator and notice any changes when putting the jeep through its paces?

I've heard the tranny cooler can also be used as a power steering fluid cooler.

If you want an all aluminum the cheapies aren't going to cut it. Look at Griffin or Mishimoto. Anything less is going to dissapoint, will run hotter and may fail at the worst time. One row is the way to go, in the room we have in our Jeeps there is no room to run thicker cores so more rows equal smaller tubes and less cooling.

I've run an all aluminum Silla in the past and now use an all aluminum Champion radiator and both have been able to keep the jeep cooler than the factory radiator did.

Yeah and we all know that N wash state gets just as hot as Australia right? In conditions where it matters it will make a difference.

I lived in the hottest part of the country (except for Death Valley) from 2000 to the end of 2008. The summer temps were over 120 degrees at times. (Yuha desert, west of Yuma, AZ.) That's why I had to install hood louvers, HD fan clutch, 7 blade fan.

Just changed the radiator in my '01 TJ a couple weeks ago. It's a manual transmission and yes, the cooling lines are the only difference.

Was a piece of cake to do and Jeep still runs at EXACTLY the same temp.

Here's the one I got for $115
Radiator | 2001 Jeep Wrangler 4WD 6 Cylinders S 4.0L MFI | AutoZone.com

This radiator has been designed to accomodate automatic and manual transmission vehicles, there is no need to make modifications to your vehicle if it does not use the oil cooler. The oil cooler is a sealed unit by itself, it has no direct contact with the radiator coolant, therefore no leaks will occur if left unplugged. Does NOT include Radiator Cap. Purchase separately.

Just noticed the link above asks you to fill out engine and zip code. Maybe this link is more direct?

Spectra Premium/Radiator (CU2101) | 2001 Jeep Wrangler 4WD 6 Cylinders S 4.0L MFI | AutoZone.com

Well this one still asks for the info but just closing the window still shows the right part. At least it is for ME now. The link in the post above show all results for radiators where as this one shows just the one.
