So, I keep bleeding my radiators and air keeps coming out. I realized that some rads weren't pitched right, so I put temporary risers to heighten the bleeder end, hoping that would help. I did get some more air out, but every time I start the heat (get the pump running) I can hear air flowing through again, and they bleed more air. Is it really a process of bleeding, running, bleeding again over and over until no more air? Or could something be wrong?
I also am unsure what the process is for draining the expansion tank- last time I did (last year), I heard it fill almost halfway back up again. I don't remember if there was anything special I had to do.
Also, we used to have fantastic, scalding hot water- but after a service a few months ago, it's lukewarm in minutes and downright cold when taking a shower or filling the bath. I know it might have to do with the two temperature scales, I think maybe they were changed during the service. I also noticed when using hot water, the boiler does come on, but only for less than 10 seconds, and after some clicking in the control box on the exhaust, it starts up again a few minutes later. This is not how I remember it working. Could something be wrong there?
Any additional info needed I can easily get. I would love to just take it apart like I did my cars to learn how it works, but unfortunately I can't do that, lol. Thanks!
