Radiator Fliush - Sportbikes.net

Default

Make sure the bike is cool, remove the radiator cap, locate drain bolts(s), put catch pan under drain bolt(s), loosen and remove the drain bolt(s), and empty the coolant reservoir. Next, put everything back together and then decide whether you're going to clean it out with a radiator flush solution (or distilled water) or just add new coolant. If you're going to add flush, fill it up, then let it idle for a few minutes, until it gets up to operating temperature, let it cool, and repeat the first set of steps (if the directions on the flush solution bottle are different, go with their instructions). Refill with the correct coolant, then take it for a quick spin and let it cool again. Take off the radiator cap and top off the coolant (The coolant level will always drop after flushing the system and refilling. Don't add coolant and then forget about it). Do this step as many times as it takes until it no longer needs topped off. That's it. Easy peasy.
